Szilvia Kovacs is a Registered Dietitian Licensed in the State of Florida. She currently serves as the Director of Food and Nutrition Services at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton FL. Prior to her current role she worked as the Market Director for HCA’s West FL Division and as the Clinical Nutrition Manager at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, FL. Although she has practiced clinical nutrition in a variety of settings including long-term care, outpatient dialysis, clinical consulting in the past she has primarily worked with malnutrition initiatives in the last 8 years in acute care. In addition to malnutrition program implementation and documentation improvement she has extensively been focusing quality outcome measures as they relate to malnutrition and core measure improvement from a nutritional perspective. She is a graduate of Murray State University, Murray, KY with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and of CUNY – Queens College, New York, NY with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition. She is an adjunct faculty member at the State College of Florida, at Everglades University and serves as a guest lecturer at Lecom Dental/Medical School.
