Dietitians and Nutritionists for Global Health: Making a Difference

The International Affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition is organizing an ONLINE Conference on March 23-24, 2024 (Saturday and Sunday) . The targeted audience for this event are Dietitian-Nutritionists, Diet Technicians, students /interns and health care professionals.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES:

Build capacity of global dietitians and nutritionists to thrive in tomorrows’ world

Now accepting program proposals and posters

Do you have unique successes or knowledge that you want to share with your global colleagues?

IAAND is seeking expert speakers on the following themes:

 Conference Themes

Nutripreneurship

Share how you designed, launched and run a new business venture either a standalone business or new product or service within an existing business

e.g. development of new food product, plant based products, new type of nutrition counselling, technology application, educational tools, personalized nutrition, allergen safe foods

Hunger/Food Insecurity/Nutrition Security

Share knowledge and strategies that have been tested to address hunger/food insecurity or enhance nutrition security

Nutrition Strategies through the Life Cycle

Share knowledge and strategies that have been tested to address specific concerns at various stages of life,( e.g. food allergies/sensitivities, chronic diseases, gut health, nutrition counseling approaches)

  • Making a Difference In the Beginning of Life (prenatal, infancy, youth)
  • Making a Difference in your Prime Years (adulthood, chronic disease)
  • Making a Difference in the Golden Years

Technology Innovations

Share knowledge about successful use of technology in dietetics and nutrition practice, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), social media, and/or web applications

NOTE:  CDR has approved 12 CPE hrs for this conference.  When evaluation form has been submitted the certificates will be issused.  

 

POSTERS

We are still accepting Late Breaking Posters in two formats:  Research posters and Program Evaluation Posters

Poster sessions
Posters can be either an abstract of a research project or abstract summarizing evaluation of project. Both types of posters must include evaluation of data that was collected and synthesize the findings into implications for dietetics and nutrition practice. Posters will be peer reviewed and if accepted will be displayed on-line. Up to 4 posters will be selected to provide 20 Minute oral presentation during the program. One award will be given for the top poster (Academy membership for 1 year).
