SPEAKERS: MARIA VITULLO AND KAMELIA BUJUKLIEVA
Maria Vitullo is a nutrition communication consultant specialized in social media. She worked in health and nutrition communication agencies in New York (Eat Well Global) and Sao Paulo (Equilibrium) and at the Global Alliance for Health Nutrition Communications (GA4HNC). She is currently Co-founder of Equilibrium Latam, a branch of Equilibrium based in Buenos Aires and is a member of the Press Committee at the Argentine Association of Dietitians (AADyND). She also serves as Social Media Chair for the International Affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (IAAND).
María has a solid background in clinical nutrition and nutrition education in her home country, Argentina, where she served as Lead Dietitian at “Hospital de Tigre” in Buenos Aires. She also worked for various editorials writing nutrition articles as well as participating in the development of books. María holds an MS in Food Technology from Università degli Studi di Parma, Italy, a Postgraduate certificate in Management of Foodstuff and Agri-business and a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from Argentina.
Kamelia Bujuklieva is currently a dietetic student at King’s College London, UK and a mental health advocate, volunteering as a research assistant in the Eating Disorders Department of the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience in London, UK. Apart from her interest in advancing health research and hospital-based diet therapy, she is passionate about providing nutrition education and general health support to groups and individuals in the community. In the last year, she has dedicated her free time to exploring the access and quality of medical care in various parts of the world: in Europe (in her home country Bulgaria and Portugal), Africa (Zambia), and Asia (Sri Lanka) through clinical shadowing and community development projects. Last but not least, Kamelia is a big believer in the power of social media in improving both physical and mental health of the next generations. With her broad international network, curiosity, and philanthropist’ qualities, Kamelia hopes to contribute with innovation and through multi-disciplinary engagement to improving people’s health and wellbeing across all continents.
