Speaker Bio:

Esther Myers is an internationally known speaker and researcher, served on numerous research review panels for USDA, CDC, and Academy Foundation. She has been involved in establishing scoring guidelines and processes for managing research projects for the Academy, ANPF, and IAAND.

This webinar will apply general grant/project proposal development activities to a specific application (IAAND International Project Award as funded by the ANDF). The concepts outlined in the application will be presented and examples given for attendees to respond through interactive software to identify their belief if the review criteria has been met.

After this webinar participants will be able to:

  • Review Funding Opportunity Announcement and Criteria
    • Identify criteria specified for proposals from application materials
  • Determine whether your project meets the grant criteria
    • Evaluate consistency between aim statements and research design
    • Evaluate feasibility of project aim statements and budget
  • Identify steps in writing and reviewing your proposal
  • Respond to reviewer comments (if option is provided)
  • Understand specific application processes for ANDF IAAND Award Applications
